Six people killed in crashes across Australia’s east

Six people have died in separate car crashes in New South Wales and Victoria.

The first of the six deadly crashes killed an elderly woman and left her passenger fighting for life on River Rd in Northwood, on Sydney’s North Shore, about 4.20pm on Friday.

Less than an hour later, a 57-year-old
