Queensland set to be smashed by more rain as large areas put on flood watch

Parts of Queensland are set to be inundated as flood watches are issued for parts of the north-western and northeast tropical coast.

A major rain event lasting multiple days is expected to worsen from Friday and into the weekend with the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) warning of possible flooding.
