Charlie Hedin sleeps “like a baby” for eight or nine hours a night. He doesn’t set a morning alarm. Two and a half years ago, he had a health scare and subsequently decided to prioritise rest. At 8pm, after meditating in the sauna, he works late and rises late; sometimes he works until 2am and arrives in the office at midday. He has, in fact, been productive while sleeping: every night he is testing out new samples of bedding for Tekla, the homewares company he co-founded.
