Woolf Works – from genius choreographer Wayne McGregor – is utterly transcendent and completely unforgettable

Woolf Works opens with I Now, I Then, a tale of a day in the life of society hostess Clarissa Dalloway as she prepares for a party. The stage is adorned by three, slowly shifting, minimalist boxes – designed by the architectural practice Ciguë – which serve as the landscape for the rich narrative set to Richter’s soundscape interspersed with sounds of 20th-century London (a ticking clock, a tooting car horn).
