Demna Has Arrived At Gucci

For his first Gucci runway, Demna was expected to make a statement, and he did. A yawning strip of white light cut through pitch darkness, and models walked not on an elevated runway but through that thin luminous band. The front row was its own theatre: Paris and Nicky Hilton sat with former creative director Alessandro Michele and Donatella Versace; Demi Moore and her Pomeranian Pilaf perched beside rapper EsDeeKid and Romeo Beckham.
