Driver flees after ute collides with moving passenger train west of Toowoomba

A driver is on the run after a ute slammed into the side of a passenger train, narrowly avoiding a far more serious crash.

Emergency services rushed to a rail crossing west of Toowoomba, Queensland, at about 12.30am on Friday morning after the vehicle struck the right-hand side of the train.
