Asbestos find inside Perth home leaves grandmother facing $115,000 demolition bill

A grandmother has been left with little choice but to knock down her family home of more than 50 years following the nightmare discovery of asbestos.

Mary Porritt, 76, had plans to sell the Hamersley property in Perth’s northern suburbs and downsize.
