After a 12-year campaign, Mount Olympus has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Known in Greek mythology and history as the seat of Zeus and the home of the 12 gods, Mount Olympus has been inscribed as a mixed World Heritage Site in recognition of its cultural and natural significance.
