The World’s Largest Electric Aircraft Is Ready for Its First Flight

The biggest electric plane ever is about to hit the skies.

Heart Aerospace’s X1, the full-scale demonstrator for the ES-30 production aircraft, has been cleared for test flights by the Federal Aviation Administration. 

The FAA issued a Special Airworthiness Certificate in the Experimental Category (SAC-EC) following an inspection of the demonstrator at Plattsburgh International Airport in upstate New York, giving Heart the green light to begin test flights immediately….
