After five years of ownership, Chris Hughes has officially signed off from his stately Romanesque Revival residence in Washington, D.C.

Last offered for sale in February 2026 at $8.75 million, the property ultimately closed earlier this month at $8.59 million, about $840,000 more than the Facebook cofounder and his partner, political activist Sean Eldridge, paid in spring 2021.
