Mouse study identifies bile acid pathways that may reduce liver fat

Researchers treated high-fat diet-fed mice with HDCA and found that it reduced liver fat accumulation through two pathways involving iNKT cells/IFN-γ and GLP-1. HDCA increased liver iNKT cells and IFN-γ signaling, which increased PPARα activity and fatty-acid oxidation (FAO).
