Histotripsy exposures with the same overall duty cycle produced very different patterns of damage and liquefaction when pulse duration and pulse repetition frequency were changed. Different imaging methods captured different aspects of the same treatment process, from cavitation activity and treatment-scale ultrasound changes to microscopic structural damage.
