‘That time is now’: Morrison renews calls for states to ‘wind back’ pandemic rules

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has renewed his call for states to start winding back pandemic restrictions.

"There is a time of course for government to step forward ... amidst the greatest health and economic shock in our lifetime," Mr Morrison said.

"But there's also a time for government to step back so Australians can move forward to unwind restrictions."
