In a year where much of TV felt only okay, there were still at least 22 gems to be found on television and streaming. The best TV shows of 2024 span an exciting array of genres and networks: at least one good old-fashioned network sitcom; a deliciously devious streaming reality hit, as well as the international additions of a few Stateside favorites; and more than one sweeping, cinematic epic about real(ish) people, with no dragons or magic in sight. Some made us laugh til our sides ached….
