Eurostar services cancelled following the discovery of an unexploded WWII bomb

Several Eurostar services between London and Paris have been cancelled on Friday 7 March following the discovery of an unexploded World War II bomb.

The historical bomb was uncovered during overnight rail works in the Parisian suburb of Saint-Denis, which contains sights such as the Stade de France.

In a statement released in the early hours of Friday morning, Eurostar said, “Due to an object on the tracks near Paris Gare du Nord, we are expecting disruption to our services this morning….
